Hallmarked Russian Silver Purse

This is a Russian silver box with fine color. The beautiful matte finish is simplicity in itself, and the surface has no decoration, just the hallmarks on each side.

Inside, a once-rich blue silk lining divides the purse into several compartments, now worn as would be expected over time. The thumbpiece is a brilliant emerald green cabachon, surrounded with a gold band.

The elegant simplicity of this piece speaks for itself. It measures 3 1/8 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide, and is one inch deep.
